Double Movements With First Touch Pass/Finish
Hadleigh started a yard in front of the main cone in the central channel. I got her to perform a double movement off the main cones and receive my ball into her feet.
Hadleigh had to take a touch out of her feet and execute a good pass into the small goal. I worked alternate sides to develop first touch on both feet.
Main aims-
Double movement:
Sharp double movement
Create space in front of her
Demand ball
Movement to receive, body shape, first touch & execution drill
The player looks to produce movements to receive the ball inside or outside of the cones taking a good first touch, opening up their body and a good execution at goal. ( Firm pass or a strike at goal )

We progressed by one touch passing through the gates. The final progression i got him to start in front of the gates, I then passed back and forth until I shouted a colour which he then he took a good first touch, turned and dribbled the ball through and back for a pass.
Drill 2.
Reactive First Touch, Passing & Turns
3 gates of different coloured cones. The aim is to keep the ball moving between each player continuously. I passed a ball into him and shouted a colour for him to pass back through.

Erin’s first session last night. Our session was based on first touch/ control & different range of passing drills. We also worked on dribbling and turns.
I’ve been asked a lot recently to work on players turns.
Aim-
As many turns as possible
Control of the ball while moving from one side to the other
Acceleration & deceleration
Dribble with the eyes up when needed
Ball close to her feet
Repetition with plenty of touches
Good first session tonight for this one. We worked on first touch, movement ( on and off the ball ) passing and execution.
This drill had an area marked out and she had to complete a good pass with me, she then reacted to a coloured cone I put in the air.
This was some work we did on reactions, looking up, movement off the ball and first touch when recieving the ball, (when coming back into her area) Really good drill to help with not panicking and taking that touch to look up and execute a good pass back. Awareness was key.
