#UofASurgery Community Outreach: Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery, Ken Liechty, MD, and team served dinner at the @RMHCTucson. We're so grateful that our patients have an impactful resource providing housing, transportation and support when traveling to Tucson for treatment.
Our #SurgeryGivesBack Committee ‘Elves’ spent the morning decorating the Ronald McDonald Family Room for patients and their families to enjoy at Banner Children’s-Diamond Children’s Medical Center. @RMHCTucson
"When you have a sick child, the amount of stress that comes with hospitalizations is horrible. Then, there was this place just there, ready to help, house, feed, entertain and be a place where we had a small break from what felt like a never-ending parade of bad luck." - Breanna
Spending some time today in the @RMHCTucson Family Room at Banner. This room is very important to my family and I, and an absolute oasis to parents with children in the Hospital. The House is always looking for new friends and volunteers. Go to https://t.co/BtK9kS65Sy for more.
"Last year, Atticus spent his 1st birthday in the hospital. This year, although we are still away from home, Atticus got to spend his 2nd birthday here at the Ronald McDonald House with his family & friends!"
"We have arrived at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati! Seth loves this place. He headed straight for the outdoor playground. The best part about it is that for now, he is forgetting that he has surgery tomorrow. For now, he's just a kid on the playground."
MVD offices from across the state collected aluminum soda tabs as part of the Pop Tab Challenge that benefits @RMHCTucson and @RMHCPhoenix. A total of 190 pounds worth of the tabs will help support the fantastic efforts of the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Arizona.
Thank you for your support over those many years! Because of you, we feel the love that built our House every single day. ❤

On this day in 1981, the Ronald McDonald House in Tucson opened its doors to families needing a “home-away-from-home” while a child received medical care.
And while we’re known as “the House that Love Built,” your love built so much more...
