@BioRadEducation Satelite colonies that weren't transformed survived due to ampicillin concentration being too low.

Arabinose activates the production of GFP so ampicillin is not necessary, just convenient.

Heating shocking a sample a second time will increase transformation efficiency.

The Biotech 2 class is taking their Lunch Litter (data analysis) lesson to the next level. These Change Makers have taken the initiative to get the recycled items from last school picked up, since the pandemic stopped collection. Step 1- determine how much and what items we have.

We are loving @miniPCR BioBits! The students were able to visualize transcription with the green fluorescence today. Hopefully tomorrow we'll see red fluorescence to indicate translation.
