Tremendous end to the season for our Women’s First XI as they win Division 1 of @HomeCountiesWCL and get promoted back to the Premier League. Congrats to everyone who played this season
To all Clubs and Players,
The HJCL would like to send seasonal greetings to all the boys and girls who have played cricket in Hertfordshire this year - we look forward to seeing you all again in 2025!
Happy Christmas!
I went on a trip to Iceland to see the #aurora and never got to see them. Turns out I just needed to look out of my bedroom window in Hertfordshire. Wow!

So @SheffieldUnited we go up to the Premier League and we sell our best 2 players just before the start of the season! Must be so demoralising for the remaining players.
You could argue we are protecting our future financial viability but that’s a depressing strategy!
A huge well done to our 40 Herts clubs running @allstarscricket@DynamosCricket this year. More courses than last year and just below 2000 children enjoying cricket. Congratulations to @HarpendenCC with 185 children attending (34% girls) which is incredible. Thank you all 🏏🏏🏏
Off to Wembley today with the Blades, odd to be going to a game with zero expectations of having a shot let alone scoring! Hoping this tweet doesn’t age well @SheffieldUnited
Finally got around to reading this - love books that really challenge accepted assumptions about sport / the last chapter is blistering - great piece of work @StoneDunk
@TC_1963@LengthDoes Understand / my point is if umpires enacted 41.16 then bowlers would not need feel the need to Mankad - surely the umpires can see when batters are stealing runs
@TC_1963@LengthDoes Tim / genuinely interested why do umpires never enforce law 41.16? Would this not stop batters stealing runs? I think 99% of cricketers are not aware of this law - basically because umpires ignore it!
