The RMMU is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings this weekend.

We will be embarking on a two part operation following No. 45 Commando starting with the landings and then moving further into Normandy.

Ops take place on the 7th and 8th.

Tonight the RMMU continued on from yesterday this time working more on Urban/Streetcraft tactics.
Some members also got a stern brief on road safety....

Tonight the #RMMU worked on mounted fundamentals and how to take contact from vehicles. The bods learnt how to effectively return fire from WMIK and fighting through!

Last weekend I observed as 1 Troop of X-Coy conducted mounted drills utilising Land Rover WMIKs and Land Rover Snatches. We incorporated the use of our friends over at No.664 Squadron AAC and got some experience working with Apache Support.
