Our A Level Geographers hit the field recently, visiting Liverpool, Salford Quays, Pendleton & Formby Dunes!

They practised data collection, explored real-world case studies, and got inspired for their independent research projects. Next up: picking their own research questions!

@CourtneyLockw10 Comparison of two areas along the coast at holderness with same type of management - get them to adjust question to make it more specific. 2-3 hypotheses under. A good lit review will be key to success that they can keep referring back to in the analysis etc.

After the students getting Geography A-Level results of 89% A*-B the pressure is very much on. State sixth form college in the north, in 3rd most deprived area - the students absolutely smashed it. Beyond proud of all my students 🤩

@KVinceyxx @ploguey Take a photo on your phone and add it as a photo through the ChatGPT app and ask it to translate.

@ploguey gave me enough to be able to piece it all together which helped with flow on the extended answers, it got some wrong but I could easily figure out what the correct word should be. Perplexity is an AI I am looking at which I think maybe better at creating the info for case studies

@geography_DAF I had some comparing cultural heritage linked to maritime past in 2 areas of redevelopment in Liverpool - L1 and Albert dock. They did clone town surveys, questionnaires, analysed photographs, interviews.
