Young Israelis posing as “art students” hit federal offices and agents’ homes selling paintings. A leaked DEA memo flagged intel/explosives backgrounds. Many lived in the same Hollywood, FL apartment complexes and neighborhoods as Mohamed Atta and other 9/11 hijackers.

Separately, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council ran an artist residency on the 91st and 92nd floors of the North Tower — immediately below where Flight 11 struck (floors 93–99) — giving international artists 24-hour studio access in unused office space. The 2001 group included artists from multiple countries, among them Israel.

On Sept. 11, 2001, five Israelis from Urban Moving Systems were stopped around 4 p.m. in a white van on Route 3 in East Rutherford, NJ. A witness told police they were filming the burning Towers, smiling, hugging, and giving high-fives. An FBI alert said they were “seen celebrating.” Bomb-sniffing dogs alerted on the van; a bomb squad searched it and found no explosives. They were held for months, then deported for visa violations.

India is treated by the Home Office as a designated safe state under section 94 of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002. The Home Office's OWN GUIDANCE says that there is in general no serious risk of persecution there.

Almost all of these claims from Indian nationals will be bogus. If they really are being persecuted for being gay etc in the village they live in they can relocate to cosmopolitan and liberal cities like Bombay or Delhi and live freely there
