I might hit 100 if I lock in for the second half but my dad passing away really put a damper on my reading progress. His reading hack: bring your book literally everywhere you go and read in all the spare moments while you’re waiting around for things to happen. Enjoy!
The “what is an unreasonable number of books to read in a year” thing being set at 30 is crazy to me. I probably won’t hit 100 this year but last year I did 100 with at least two month-long reading slumps. My dad read like 250+. You can do it!
‼️ HOCKEY CARD GIVEAWAY ‼️
When no one in my trading group likes a card we put it in what we call “the poop tin” and well… it’s full! It’s a mix of teams and series/years; if you want it, RT this and I’ll send it off on Friday. (US/CA only sorry!) Pls! I want it out of my house!
The massive success of ‘Heated Rivalry’ is the culmination of decades of fandom: stans, zines, and, yes, fan fiction. One of the most popular forms of fanfic is slash — romances between characters of the same genre. And the most overwhelming majority of slash is M/M (male/male) romance, which tends to be written by women.
In Asia, the same genre is known as boys’ love (BL), and the women who write and read it are called fujoshi, translating to “rotten girl.” The term originated as an insult but has since been reclaimed by lovers of BL (boys’ love) and, in the wake of ‘Heated Rivalry,’ by women all over the West too. But without the work of fandoms past, the world would not be ready to fujo out with such abandon.

After waiting until AFTER 8 we left to warm up, then were told we couldn’t get a refund because we had taken replacement tickets (which did not arrive on time). So what are we supposed to do if the replacement tickets that you offered don’t work?
So @StubHub can I get some clarification on your policy? We tried to see the @BuffaloSabres tonight but our tickets didn’t come through. We waited outside in single digit temps, were told our replacement tickets were on the way and would be there by 7:41 (game started at 7).
making these mini granny square scarves for all my friends (did not get even one of them done before new years, let alone christmas—so they will now be random gifts). wish me luck 🫡
