Minister @Antonio_Tajani on his visit to Tunisia: 🗣️ “Today I’m in #Tunis to confirm the importance of the bilateral partnership, founded on a shared vision of growth and stability in the Mediterranean.
Tunisia is a strategic partner for Italy and a bridge to Africa, at the heart of the Mattei Plan and of a cooperation that we want to be increasingly equal and growth-oriented. The extraordinary participation of around 500 companies at the Business Forum 🇮🇹🇹🇳 demonstrates the great economic potential between our two countries.
I discussed this with Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri, with whom we took stock of the main regional crises and bilateral cooperation, including in the areas of migration and energy. Our goal is to transform the Mediterranean into a sea of growth and innovation, with strategic projects such as ELMED, Transmed, and the Southern Hydrogen Corridor, which will strengthen our energy security. Finally, I expressed the Italian Government's full support for developing a solid partnership with the European Union, which is essential for the stability of our continents.”

It's honestly surprising how far web development has come.
Day two of the official visit of the Secretary-General of the AfCFTA, H.E. Wamkele Mene, to Tunisia: a high-level dialogue with the Tunisian private sector at the Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX), preceded by a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion.
The Secretary-General's message to business was clear: it is their engagement, not the signature of States alone, that makes the AfCFTA commercially meaningful. The first task? Identifying markets — those in Africa to which Tunisia can export, and those from which it can import. Tunisian products reaching Africa, and African products reaching Tunisia.
The tools to get there are concrete: the PAPSS payment system, enabling settlement in local currency and cutting transaction costs, and digital instruments for business connectivity and market intelligence.
