@GeauxGabrielle@BMcCarthy32 This country is messed up man. We let the worst things ever happen and worry about the most innocuous things like gay marriage. It’s just unbelievable
#Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah took roughly two weeks of paternity leave in 2023 following the birth of his first son, and many around the league were in “disbelief” that he did this, per @DMRussini and @alec_lewis. During that time, he worked remotely and was absent from several training camp meetings and practices. Minnesota was publicly supportive of his time away:
“Following the birth of his first child, the general manager left for paternity leave, missing about two weeks of training camp meetings and practices and working remotely during that stretch. Word of his time away from the team traveled quickly around the league. Among some rival executives and coaches, it was met with disbelief.
In an NFL culture where many players, coaches, and executives proudly acknowledge missing the births of their children, taking time away to care for a newborn and support a partner remains uncommon.”
@tyrel_maxwelson@SamMonsonNFL GM can’t take 2 weeks off for the birth of a child? Unless it’s during the combine, the draft, or free agency… Who the heck cares? That’s ridiculous.
@TheHerd@colincowherd I am absolutely not a patriots fan but it’s hard to get the quarterback right. He did and he won six Super Bowls as a HC with him. Unheard of.
