Another #MessagesInMotion at 224 St and Brown Ave! 🗨️
#CrimePrevention volunteers were joined by @icbc and the Road Safety Target Team who gave out 4 Tickets in ~1 hour.
With days getting shorter, volunteers also gave out reflectors to increase visibility for pedestrians.
Seniors Week! We @ICBC presented to an @citypittmeadows group & an @YourMapleRidge group this week on the Enhanced Road Assessment for Seniors. Thank you #RMSS. The audiences were very respectful, kind & had excellent questions for us in Driver Licensing & Road Safety @ICBC. 🚗🚶♀️
Speeding is one of the leading causes of car crash fatalities in B.C. Although Speed Enforcement Month is over, there is always someone watching. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the May campaign & continue to educate speeders throughout the year. #GiveItABrakeBC
We’re here in @YourMapleRidge to remind drivers to keep a safe distance when passing cyclists! 🚴🚗 Maintain a distance of 1 meter under 50km/h and 1.5 meters over 50km/h when passing a cyclist. #ShareTheRoadBC@ICBC
👉 Motor Vehicle Act Change -- share the road safely with vulnerable road users.

#NoNeedForSpeed Working w/@RidgeRCMP & Speed Watch Volunteers in @YourMapleRidge educating drivers to please 🙏 slow down. Speed plays a role in every crash. When you drive at safer speeds, you can prevent crashes & protect the lives of all road users on B.C. roads @icbc 🚵♀️🚶
🚦 Stay alert in school zones! Students, only cross at designated crossings & make eye contact with drivers. If you’re not sure they’re stopping, wait for the car to pass. Drivers, use caution around schools. Yield to pedestrians at crosswalks, their safety is in your hands.
🛑 @ICBC reminds B.C. drivers this month that the faster you drive, the more time and distance it takes to stop your vehicle, making it harder to avoid crashes. Make sure you slow down and remember there is #NoNeedForSpeed. Info: https://t.co/JMVqSs4s6i
