I see people out there wondering why Mike Vrabel isn't facing the same repercussions as Dianna Russini, and the answer is simple:

He wasn't the journalist in that hotel swimming pool.

It's not a great look for either of them on a personal level, but professionally, it doesn't impact his ability to go back to coaching football in the same way it damaged Russini's credibility as a journalist.

So her continued defense and defiance in her resignation doesn't ring true to me. She had to know she was putting that credibility at risk. And if she didn't know, then she was in the wrong job anyway.

Nancy Armour's piece in USA Today makes the case that Russini's decision actually hurts all women working in sports media.

Look, on a personal level, it's none of my business, but there's some interesting points being made here by Mike Florio.

But I do find their judgment a little lacking. They had to know this wouldn't look great and that there would be fair questions if it got out. Innocent or not, it isn't a great look for either of them.

And I would just add that whenever I hear somebody say it doesn't even deserve a response, experience tells me that it often does.
