#CleanAirDay2024#Roadvent
The fact that hashtag#Roadvent prevents pollutants from dispersing into the atmosphere and reaching pedestrians, cyclists and buildings, makes it a highly efficient way to purify large volumes of air.
We are looking forward to improving air quality for school children in Lewisham with the support of @MayorofLondon's Air Quality Fund.

It works by capturing pollutants at high concentrations from as close as possible to their souces (exhaust pipes, brakes & tyres), and filtering them with an electrostatic precipitator, HEPA and impregnated activated carbon.
@LouiseKrupski We are looking forward to providing cleaner air for Lewisham's pupils, families and school staff and creating a healthier environment during the school commute and within play areas.
We are delighted that @LewishamCouncil has been awarded £132,532 in funding from the @MayorofLondon's London's Air Quality Fund to introduce #Roadvent outside of a school.

@LouiseKrupski (...) Initiatives like the installation of a Roadvent not only address immediate concerns but also contribute to our long-term vision of creating a greener, healthier Lewisham for generations to come."
Councils can now effectively reduce pollution levels to within the national air quality standards set out by DEFRA, without requiring traffic displacement or leading to longer travel times.
We are pleased to share that a new study led by Swansea University’s Professor Paul Lewis found #Roadvent technology as the best way to reduce nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentrations to below UK regulatory standards.

The pollution is captured by the vents, and it immediately passes through robust filtration at its roadside air cabinet that removes particulate matter and noxious gases from the air flow, releasing clean air back to the atmosphere.
