@zoeblade I have never done this as a move to fit in a with a general public ("people like X, therefore I should too"), but I have certainly watched a show or listened to music because a friend liked it and I wanted to share it with them, even if it wasn't *my* thing.
@BjortiBoklv @ConradZimmerman Have you ever gotten really annoyed with someone and the choices they made, only to realize the thing that was really bothering you was a fear about your own choices?
@molly0xFFF I managed it, but it was a struggle. I had to catch myself trying to click away several times, and read the final four pages standing up and with my headphones off, trying to place myself in a different physical situation to not just follow the usual script.
A lot of people asked me for tips on how to play older non-English games, so here's four amazing resources (besides DOSBox & emulators):
1 - MORT: https://t.co/iiQcAgALcP
An OCR tool to automatically translate on-screen text, IMO it's easier to use than Ztranslate. A must-have!
@jevaaler I managed to play through the first 6 Assassin's Creed games in october/november though. AC1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 3, Liberation, and 80% though Black Flag before burning out.
@jevaaler Me before christmas: "I should play through the entire yakuza/like a dragon series". I made it halfway through Yakuza 0 before being distracted by something else. Nothing wrong with the game, I just lack focus.
@WobblingP Modern Game HUD (A Highland Song)
vs
Retro Game HUD (Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss)
Suicide Squad's UI is certainly bad, but I don't thing its a simple case of "old good, new bad".
@sawyersipes I have enjoyed handball and curling as a spectator. Handball is really fast and almost entirely shots on goal, Curling feels toward the "game" end of the sport-game spectrum, is turn-based and strategic, but in a way you can easily follow and be couch-coach.
