Dragon boats featured too at the Classic boats Regatta this past weekend. Pumicestone Passage is the ideal place to do some rowing and believe me when I say it’s a great workout.

A major Queensland timber hub from 1860s-1939. Prized for "red gold" (red cedar, white beech, & tallowwood)

Mapleton Falls National Park was established in 1973 & originated as a scenic reserve in 1938

Real chatterboxes, rainbow lorikeets.
They’ve certainly been splashed with nature’s vibrant paint although these ones are in the shade & it’s not so noticeable.
When they fly overhead their wings are such a vivid emerald green.
These ones were quite happy for me to video them.

Little corellas feeding on a lawn. They’re such funny birds. We often hear them when they fly over us with their plaintive cries. It sounds a bit like a croaky distressed cry for help to me. 😂
