@asta_woodings @anejonomad And breastfeeding in public seems to have been commonplace, judging from the photos in this article:

@asta_woodings @anejonomad I'm not sure it's that simple. You can find many nude images in Victorian art - see e.g. the Pre-Raphaelites and Aubrey Beardsley - and it seems nude sea bathing was practised with impunity, if not universal approval.

@nacouk @Socksoff1 This is a disheartening read. I used to go to Zandvoort beach and I remember when Adam & Eva was one of a string of clothes-optional cafes, now it seems to be the last one left :-(
@_free_to_be_me_ I was on this trip and it was most enjoyable. The gallery staff were very welcoming, in fact one of them was inspired to enter into the spirit of the occasion.
@whyndham@_free_to_be_me_@ExploreWellcome I've solved that problem with a small shoulder bag sourced from a camping shop, which will hold my valuables and trusty Moleskine sketchbook.

@paoftwo@Socksoff1 Except it was 100p to the pound, never 100d. Some old coins remained in circulation for a while, e.g. the tanner which was worth 2 1/2 p. Yes there was a half-p coin.
@VeranaturistC@Socksoff1 The 'd' for old pence stood for 'denarius', of course. And we switched to decimal currency in 1971, before we joined the EEC as it then was.
