@MsMelChen author: we're a while away from practical applications, but I mostly wanted to write a paper that makes future academics literature reviews more bearable
@CBHeresy@MsMelChen author: if everyone can meet in a giant heap every day, the problem is too easy for studying it to be interesting.
same if every relationship is equal, and maybe if everyone is heterosexual too (to a lesser extent, we ran out of time)
@jhouse678@MsMelChen author here: because they want to. the numbers on the left figure are a kind of relationship intensity, and we discuss egalitarian relationships in the paper
@RogueShoten @KylerCora we assumed polycules with arbitrarily many people and relationships. they could all be seeing each other (this makes scheduling the whole mess very difficult) or each person could see a sensible number of other people, or anything else really.
@humani_nihil_ @KylerCora Always down for a collab ;)
mono poly people really don't create many problems though - my main idea for a funny follow-up was an investigation of how little bisexuality it takes to mess up simple heterosexual polycules
@ClarkeMicah@CosmicSkeptic it's extremely dishonest to claim "four topics, one hour" here when you yourself ruled out one of the other topics and agreed that the interview could be longer than an hour.
Fun fact! The Lord of the Rings™ Roleplaying 5E Game uses OGL 1.0a. I'm sure the extremely litigious Tolkien estate will be completely fine with the new OGL 1.1 and giving all of their LOTR properties to Hasbro as a sublicense, for free, forever!
