@ctvottawa I'm convinced the Ottawa police are always over budget due to the fact that half their officers are on suspension with pay for some allegation

This has never been about saving the hostages. Netanyahu wants Gaza empty, using starvation, absolute ultimate blockade and mass killing as a weapon to force us out of our land.
@OttawaPolice officer demoted after pleading guilty to assaulting a child in mental distress at CHEO two years ago. Why do we keep giving this force new money every year? Oh yeah - for all their ongoing legal battles. Who would trust anyone on this force? #ottawa#ottnews
It took the @OttawaPolice almost TWO HOURS to show up to a robbery at pet value today, and blamed it on "high volume" and "shift change". Thank fuck no one was in danger boys!! Gods this force is the WORST #ottawa#ottcrime#ottnews
There is a threshold at which medicine becomes murder. I have seen it. It is here.
The World Health Organization was informed calmly and formally that the Israeli army has suspended medical coordination for all Palestinian males over the age of twelve. Twelve. At that age, a boyโs body becomes politically unclean. He is no longer a child, no longer a patient, no longer eligible for life.
I am a doctor. I have studied the anatomy of suffering. I have held tumors in my hands, watched lungs drown in fluid, and seen children convulse with fever. Illness knows neither race nor borders. But in Gaza, illness has become a crime.
Only women and very young children are now considered for medical transfer. Even they perish in silence, one by one, in rooms where no cure will ever come.
My cousin, a five-year-old boy, has ITP: immune thrombocytopenia. His body is attacking itself. His blood does not clot. The treatment is simple, if available. In Gaza, it is not. And so he waits. Two months now. The platelets drop. The bruises bloom. And still, he waits.
This is not negligence; it is theology, the theology of cruelty.
There is something diabolical in the decision to draw a red line at age twelve, to declare that beyond this point, a child is no longer sacred. He is no longer worthy of the needle, the medicine, or the breath. He is not a patient; he is a problem.
Ask yourself: What danger does a cancer patient pose to a nation? What army is threatened by a hemorrhaging boy? What victory is secured by watching a childโs organs fail?
They call it security. I call it something else: a ritual of abandonment, a sacrament of indifference.
They have replaced triage with judgment, and the Hippocratic oath with policy memos. The hospital, which should be a sanctuary for the broken body, has become a place of slow death, not by disease, but by design.
This is not medicine. It is a philosophy of darkness.
It is the belief that some lives are not lives at all; that some pain does not matter; that suffering, when it belongs to the wrong people, need not be relieved, only managed, silenced, and buried.
What is happening is not madness; it is order. And that is the horror.
There is no screaming. No flames. No chaos. Only the smooth silence of denied referrals, the precision of paperwork, and the perfect quiet of children who never made it to the ambulance.
And the world watches. Some count the dead; others count votes.
But no one counts the unseen dying, those who rot in rooms without light, without morphine, without exit.
And still they say: This is war.
No. This is something older. Something colder.
The worldโs soul is being tested in Gaza, and I fear we are failing.

Do you have a free Little Library in your neighbourhood? If yes, email: [email protected] and we'll send you a copy of Treaties Matter: Understanding Ipperwash to include in your library. Indicate whether you require English, French or both!
This is to recognize the 30th anniversary of the shooting death of land defender Dudley George at Ipperwash this September 6th. #TreatyON
As a person who lived in Minneapolis during the 2020 George Floyd protests...it's not going to matter if you protest peacefully. The cops and military will literally incite the violence and force you to defend yourself and then proceed to say you started it. Just remember that.
