I am filing Income Tax return in India, and it is a chaos for an individual. God help those who file for organizations. I don't have a regular income however I am reporting the VDA and related activity and it is out of this world. I am currently a RNOR and trying to file ITR-2. The conditions laid by government is not at all comprehensible. I mean I don't know when is a taxable event and whether it is liable on me?

Here is a question I would like to get clarification on:

During the transitioning period from NRI to RNOR, what activity becomes taxable?

I was trying to find some answers and it says you have to calculate the cost of acquisition (I don't know what my cost of acquisition was 3 years ago while I was a NRI) and then deduct it from the cost of sale, how am I supposed to do that?, there are basically 1000s of transactions small/big included. Why don't just make it simple instead of making it more complicated. I can feel for the ordinary citizen of this country. @FinMinIndia @nsitharaman
