Ireland’s high corporation tax take is due to lower tax rates.
Same applies to personal taxation - attract high earners with low tax rates.
Our problem is the inefficiency of the state and the benefits bill.
Successful economies don’t have these problems.

@afneil The lefty liberal ethos in our schools and colleges teaches them that every challenge they face is a diagnosable condition (see growth in exam extra time, etc for proof).
The lefty liberal benefits system then acknowledges their ‘condition’ and monetises it on their behalf.
