@TheRickWilson Lindsay: you and your cohorts in the Senate have miserably failed the “good test for republicans” you spoke of in the Clinton years. You have zero credibility. You should resign.
@NBCNews When a 16 year old apologizes for a misunderstanding of a statement, it becomes apparent that a teenager has far more integrity than a particular 73 year old.
Between @senatemajldr vowing to be in "total coordination" with the White House and @LindseyGrahamSC declaring "I'm not trying to pretend to be a fair juror here" - anyone detect a hint (or more) of just pure glee at subverting the Constitutional process?
@NBCNews Moscow Mitch, doing Russia’s bidding, has predetermined that republicans will violate their oath of office and will not remove Trump under any circumstances. What does that say about their integrity, values, morals or ethics? Do they belong in the Senate?
Graham has joined McConnell in announcing his intent to violate his oath as a juror at Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate. Democrats should move to have both recused. https://t.co/9QePwGwsSw
@soledadobrien Why would anyone vote a republican in to office again when they have blatantly stated they will not honor their oath of office. Money, power and greed is most important to them. The hell with everyone else.
@TheRickWilson Lindsay: don’t you just hate it when there is video of you showing your attitude on impeachment then and now? How do you explain your hypocrisy? Obviously you have no ethics.
@eliehonig @senatemajldr @LindseyGrahamSC Whether you are a Trump supporter or not, the posture of the Republicans in the Senate should cause us all to question their patriotism. They are certainly not in favor of the Rule of Law, and have no problem with purposefully violating their oath of office. Disgusting display.
@nytimes Van Drew should not just be able to switch parties. The people voted him in as a democrat. He should have to run again after declaring his affiliation.
@BillKristol Republicans have announced (in advance of the Senate Trial) that they plan to violate the oath that they will swear to uphold. Why in the world should they be permitted to be arbiters of DT?
Senators will swear this oath when they convene as a court of impeachment:
“I solemnly swear that in all things appertaining to the trial of Donald J. Trump, now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws, so help me God.”
Will they live up to it?
@kylegriffin1 Giuliani being an attorney certainly can’t plead ignorance of the responsibility for Trump to report the in-kind legal services. So, will anything happen,or is this just another example of violating the law? Also sounds like income tax evasion.
This story is remarkable. I'm very pro-pardon generally for obvious reasons, but the idea that they are being purchased with donations is shockingly corrupt. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Bevin hasn't really given account of the process by which these people were chosen.
Trump and his allies have turned Justice Department independent investigations into a political tool for use against their enemies, writes @JamesStewartNYT https://t.co/scCYNUrb2K
He blocked Merrick Garland.
He obstructed Obama at every turn.
He refused to call out Russia in 2016.
He is blocking bills to secure 2020.
And for his latest act of betrayal he’s coordinating the Senate trial w/ the White House. I’ve fucking had it with #MoscowMitchMcConnell.
@neeratanden Hey Graham: it must really suck when video is produced of you pontificating one way when it’s a Democrat being impeached and a 180 degree change when it’s a republican. You are a horses ass hypocrite.
