Last week, St. Johns County Sheriff's Office (@TeamSJSO) Sheriff Rob Hardwick (@Rob_HardwickFL) stood alongside Immigration And Customs Enforcement (@ICEgov) Deputy Director Madison Sheehan (@ICEDeputy), @GovRonDeSantis, @AGJamesUthmeier, @FLHSMV Director Dave Kerner, and other Florida leaders to announce historic 287(g) funding for Task Force partners.

This funding is more than a ceremonial check—it’s an investment in stronger partnerships between local, state, and federal agencies. These resources will directly support the men and women of Florida law enforcement agencies and enhance the mission to protect Florida families from drug dealers, human traffickers, and criminals who target our children.

We are grateful for the leadership of Governor DeSantis, our Cabinet, and the Florida Legislature, including @FLSenate President Ben Albritton (@Sen_Albritton) and @myflhouse House Speaker (@Daniel_PerezFL), whose support ensures law enforcement has the tools needed to keep communities safe.

Immigration enforcement is a complex challenge that has been decades in the making, but sheriffs will always uphold the law and work with our federal and state partners to defend our communities.

When law enforcement stands united, criminals don’t stand a chance.
