With you 100% on the ability to leave at the right place @ right time easily! Right now it's hard to do that - across bus, train, & streetcar...

But Toronto has had "supervised consumption sites" or whatever the politically correct word is for them for a LONG TIME now — it hasn't made anything better.

Open drug use on TTC in front of children, pregnant moms, etc. and the wild erratic behaviour it causes is a real problem. People pissing on subways, threatening to harm others, actual fights breaking out, robberies, etc....

TTC isn't a shelter or a clinic, it's a transit system - anyone posing a danger to other needs to be OUT. Either TTC enforcement does it or TPS, whoever, but so many people simply don't feel safe on TTC.
