Labour and Iran: in which, unusually, Tony Blair's view on geopolitics is slated and Keir Starmer's praised. Me at @LabourUncut: https://t.co/SUNaMurlrU
@ltg1810 Andy Burnham has just made one of those blithe pledges so popular with politicians seeking election. There isn’t any justification for supporting him

@fharris2011 Grrr. Will be a bloody travesty if they do. I think there is some discretion and, God knows, they ought to be able to use it if the subject involves openly racist tropes.
The SNP's message to Scottish taxpayers:
"Sorry about the waiting lists, ferries, potholes and failing public services... we're off to the World Cup."
The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
I'm sure we are all grateful for the lecture on civilisation from the VP of a country that pays masked men to kill innocent people on the street and where school children have to practice how to hide from nutters with automatic weapons.
TRANSLATION: "I, the First Minister, see no need whatsoever for an inquiry into the possibility my party defrauded Scottish taxpayers. They have no right to know, just as my members have no right to their money back."
Just listen to yourself, @JohnSwinney.
Questioned by Anas Sarwar on whether the SNP made fraudulent VAT refund claims when Murrell was in charge, John Swinney acknowledges that this may have happened. Which makes his continued resistance to a proper inquiry even harder to justify.
