The post deserves a few factual corrections:

a) The photograph was a camp registration photo taken after her arrival, not just before her death. She arrived on 13 December 1942 and was murdered on 12 March 1943.

b) She was not "one of approximately 230,000 children and young people murdered at Auschwitz-Birkenau." This is the number of children who were deported to the camp.

c) She did not lose her mother "only days earlier." Katarzyna Kwoka perished on 18 February 1943, while Czesława died on 12 March 1943, so it was less than a month earlier.

d) In the context of this story, it's better to refer to the concentration camp of Auschwitz. She was murdered at the German Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz.

We shouldn't live in a world where millions die of hunger while others have more money than most countries. Humans have their priorities screwed up.
