“Higher education providers owe a duty of care to their students”
11-word text in legislation to ensure universities act responsibly.
I so admire Maggie and Bob Abrahart for holding out for a totally reasonable apology, before moving on with discussions.
It’s all so very sad
#Sorry seems to be the hardest word!
I don’t understand this @BristolUni?
How can a so-called ‘learning institution’ be so incapable of #learning?
So lacking in #compassion?
Lacking in #humanity?
And damaging its own reputation as it puts the blinkers on?
#SuicidePrevention
Oh it’s started already, « WE’D HAVE WON IF SOUTHGATE HAD PLAYED WATKINS FROM THE START AND PALMER WIDE AND PICKFORD UP FRONT AND FODEN ON THE ROOF, SOUTHGATE MUST BE JAILED BECAUSE I WANTED TO WIN AND IT’S NOT FAIR. »
@SarahCoombesWB Could reduce the 6500 lives lost to suicide per year by 30% in this Parliament by appointing a Zero Suicide Minister. Somebody like @PaulVittles, at the forefront of evidence based Zero Suicide. At the very least could see him in the same room as the current “govt advisors”
@RachelReevesMP Now this could save £millions and stop so much heartache. Reduce the 6500 lives lost per year by 30% in this Parliament by appointing a Zero Suicide Minister. Somebody like @PaulVittles, at the forefront of evidence based Zero Suicide action plans
Could reduce the 6500 lives lost to suicide per year by 30% in this Parliament by appointing a Zero Suicide Minister. Somebody like @PaulVittles, at the forefront of evidence based Zero Suicide. Maybe put in a word, @ClaireCNWL ?
@ClaireCNWL in @PaulVittles at the conf you have a walking almanac of zero suicide endeavour. In the last 2 wks he's brought together 100s of the well informed committed, 1st ZS Trust, Ofsted change, Univ duty of care etc. You should grab him, now and get him into your NHS panel
@ClaireCNWL I was with the Underground at that time, in health and safety of all things. Shocking and so very very sad. It still feels sickening : and always will - Some colleagues never really recovered from the trauma of that day . . .
@PaulVittles@wesstreeting@UKLabour Just to underline, @wesstreetinng, @PaulVittles is a person with vision, passion and lived experience, his findings and proposed Act of Parliament bring together the work of 100s, all eminent in their particular field of suicide prevention. #SuicidePrevention
@PaulVittles@PaulVittles, a person with vision & passion & lived experience, your findings and proposed Act of Parliament bring together the work of 100s, all eminent in their particular field of suicide prevention. I really don't know of nobody better placed to deliver #SuicidePrevention
@PaulVittles@jessphillips@PaulVittles although you are "1 person", what you modestly omit, is that your findings and proposed Act of Parliament bring together the work of 100s, all eminent in their particular field of suicide prevention. I really don't know of nobody better placed to deliver Zero Suicide

@jessphillips You could reduce the 6500 lives lost per year by 30% in this Parliament by appointing an equivalent to the prisons minister, James. Somebody like @PaulVittles, at the forefront of evidence based Zero Suicide. At the very least get him in the same room as the current “advisors”
