I will be running a fall colour #PhotoWorkshop on Saturday Oct 5th from 8 am to 12 pm. Details posted below. I would like to get into #AlgonquinProvPark early before the crowds - meeting early in #Dwight so we can get to a few of the choice locations in the Park.
Join me next Saturday, Sept 14th 8am -1pm for a photo workshop. This will help you develop your seeing photographically and what is the best way to interpret the image you want to create. It is limited to 6 people. Still a couple of spots open.
I am excited to be one of the keynote speakers next week, Tues June 18th, with Robin Tapley at Explorers Edge AGM in Parry Sound. All about photographing the wilderness north of Toronto, as well as the upcoming 100th anniversary of the founding of the Group of Seven in 2020.
FYI - as of yesterday (April 24) the trans Canada Hwy was closed by Deep River and all the traffic is coming through the Park and more rain tomorrow - caution along 60. Crazy amounts of water in the rivers.
If you have never experienced the fury of a wilderness river in spring flood-then a must is to check out Ragged Falls Prov Park on the Oxtongue River, just west of Algonquin. Caution footing is extremely slippery
Crazy winter...again. Third or fourth in a row that Lake of Bays in mid April looks like mid February. May is only a few weeks away! Sunrise this morning, looking south.
winter is still going strong - lots of snowshoeing opportunities as well as other winter activities in the #Muskoka & surrounding area. Snow is incredibly deep in the Algonquin & more coming later in the week. The days are longer-
#getoutside-don't forget the sunscreen
Want to learn a little more about winter #photography, come out to #DeerhurstResort next Sat for a leisurely snowshoe hike to photograph winter, (all types of cameras welcome) March 9th-see attached for sign up or go to www.deerhurstresort,com/photo-trek
Moon rise over Lake of Bays - pretty amazing to see it rising over the pine trees on a very cold evening. Looking east towards #Algonquinpark and #darksky country
