Pray for your pastor today. He is probably exhausted from all the holidays events and feeling the pressure to hit a home run sermon for his first sermon of the year, instead of realizing he just needs to be faithful with this first sermon of the year.
@PhilishaHeisler@WallStreetMav Most pediatricians say this bc you have abandoned evidence-based medicine. Experience has taught them that they can’t convince you and it’s not worth the time. You have the right to refuse vaccination. They have the right to refuse you service. It’s not economics. It’s time.
@ParkerMama@WallStreetMav Facts don’t matter to these people. They need to validate their narrative. In doing so, they vilify pediatricians who love and serve their families with evidence-based medicine.
@ILHenderson@WallStreetMav This is not because of economics. They refuse service because they actually believe in the science of vaccinations. You, as a parent, have a choice to not vaccinate your child. They, as pediatricians, have the choice to not validate your ignorance.
People are asking me, “Aren’t you scared to preach at events right now?”
NOPE! Not even a little bit!
I would never want to miss out on how God is moving with young people right now!
Pastor @deaninserra was🔥:
“The left has declared war for a long time on the creation order. And many pastors have been silent for fear of being labeled as a ‘Christian nationalist’ or ‘too political’. But with the spiritual war at stake I want y'all to know I just do not care.”
Just told a friend that @charliekirk11 is probably singularly responsible for translating conservative values to the emerging generation. He made conservatism intelligible and relatable to a younger generation. He dethroned the liberal default presumed in young minds. A generational builder whose crater of impact is nearly impossible to comprehend at only 31.
I don't normally comment on the news of the day, but the shooting of Charlie Kirk is so wicked and so grievous. It's sad to see my own kids affected. Like many Gen Zers, they love his videos. I'm grateful for the many times he clearly and cheerfully made much of Jesus Christ. If you want to honor his legacy, pick up a Bible, read about Jesus, and see what Kirk believed in. May God bless his family. May God bless America.
News this morning from @bellevuememphis: Pastor Steve Gaines has announced “it is time for a new season.” While he is “not retiring from ministry,” he “will now begin a transition out of the pastorate.”
Full story coming later today at Baptist Press.
For all the legitimate criticism President Biden deserves for his debate performance, as well as criticism for those enabling his candidacy past the point of viability, I am constrained by a moral reality as a Christian: He is an aging human being, and mocking old-age is not biblical. Dignity is a property inherent within humans, regardless of age. In some measure, this reality makes his candidacy an act of cruelty to both him, considering the demands of the office, and to a watchful nation that deserves capable leaders.
