@studaviesreform Entrapment is an act by the police not journalists and is not considered a defence. Someone can trick you into doing a bad thing willingly. You still willingly did the bad thing.
@DrNeilStone There's a strong correlation between having autism and being born of a mother who conceived you via normal sexual intercourse.
Clearly we should ban sex
@VBLova@DrNeilStone Doctor here, with autism none the less. Autism has no single cause. The increase in rates is probably the same as the increase in lefthandedness, i.e. we started actually counting people with autism and accurately diagnosing it instead of ignoring it
@MelanieLatest Hi, Doctor here. You scrub before surgery spending about ten minutes cleaning everything before putting a gown and gloves on without touching anything. If the surgeons underscrubs had a pin on it it would have been covered up by the gown before the patient entered the theatre.
@adityam2000 @PraneshanM @RupraRoshan@lengreview Okay, we're not talking about hyper specific subspecialty training here. We're talking the endless rotations doing the same scut work in different departments in a different hospital every 6 months
@troovus@CoachingDB@sheilascoular They will need a majority in the house of lords to pass the legislation through it. So until it is abolished they need to play the game.
@liz_churchill10 Question to those who believe this rubbish to be true. Will you re-evaluate your stance when it turns out that no one is being forcibly euthanised or made to apply to live past 70?
@RKBAShackleford@allenanalysis Mate we tried cutting our public sector to the bare minimum in the UK. People thought it was a brilliant Idea at the time. Now look at the shit we're in and take it as a warning
@doctor_oxford@wesstreeting Who are we as doctors to say where the line of "worth living " is? For example huntingtons. There is very little we can do about it as it progresses. Who are we to tell people to suck it up and live with it because we think you're better of being alive.
@DrLKVaughan I'm sorry I understand what your saying, but essentially doing a ward round on medically fit patients prescribing laxatives is neither fulfilling, skilled nor valuable training.
There is ward work that absolutely needs Drs, there is also ward work that absolutely does not
@doctor_oxford I firmly believe people should be able to decide for themselves the level of suffering/disability that is acceptable to them. Suggesting that someone should continue to exist in an intolerable state because we (Drs) know what they can handle sems paternalistic
@doctor_oxford As a fellow doctor and advocate of good, early palliative care. There are conditions where we simply cannot palliate the levels of suffering/disability.
Parkinsons disease, early diagnosis of dementia (Ie retaining capacity) and other progressive conditions spring to mind
@KreelanWarrior But when trump gets in and you're rights are being gutted you'll sleep easy because at least you're abstract principles are intact rather than compromising with the party that are more sympathetic to you.
@agemjourney I can absolutely garauntee you that all the other F1s who look like they are effortlessly floating along are having the exact same thoughts
You got through your first day though and that's amazing!
@pa_StephenNash@mohammedlatif @Statsjamiefact @Adam_Skeen If PAs are F1 equivalent following then why do GEMs require 4 years of med school to become F1 doctors even with health science degrees.
I think the point you miss is how broad medical degrees are compared to other Health science degrees. It's why the courses are so intense
@DEDNaive@the_rizbiz @doctor_dru_ The back up is the coroner can issue a death cert if the cause.of death is reasonable.
There is no minimum time on this. The bereavement office just need to speak to the coroner and explain that no Dr who has seen the pt in 28 days will be available in reasonable time
