@expomick To me this brings 1 vs 8 playoff format in each conference and a balance conference schedule with it. The NHL can’t have 2 of the top 3 teams in the western conference eliminated after the second round. Enjoy your show by the way.

@expomick is my idea crazy? Remove NHL divisions to simply 16 team conferences. Schedule: In conference 4 games x 15 teams (60 games). Out of conference 2 games with 8 teams and 1 game with other 8 teams (24 games) for 84 games. Top 8 in each conference make playoffs. 1 vs 8 etc

@expomick out of conference schedule would rotate in a 4 year cycle playing each team 3 home and 3 away games during that time period. (Each year 4 teams would not visit your arena from the other conference). i.e. Leaf fans would not see McDavid once every 4 years.
