@wearfigs created a campaign spotlighting the Respiratory Care Profession, specifically my friend Lance Pangilinan. Great to see our profession in the forefront after COVID. Here is the video link. https://t.co/2t6LTEHtl7 #respiratorycare#respiratory#MedTwitter@aarc_tweets
💯 I think we tend to overestimate the importance of physical resources (ventilators, tubes, meds, beds) and underestimate human resources needed (ICU RNs, RTs, ICU docs). Critical care requires the former but mortality is much higher without trained people in sufficient ratios.
@InabnitLanny @GabNicDav @aarc_shawna Hi Lanny, Dana Oakes never replied to my post, but Scot Jones did and was respectful. Stark contrast to Dana’s post. Not surprisingly younger and/or less educated RTs were up in arms and older and/or more educated were understanding.
@GabNicDav @aarc_tweets @DraegerNews My team names for Sputum Bowl were “The Phlegmstones” the first year and “Lost in Deadspace” my second year. The names are one of the best parts.
@GabNicDav @aarc_shawna I'm off for a couple of days, so I decided to start a thread in FB group "Respiratory Therapy Breakroom" doing exactly this. The amount of misinformation and misunderstanding is staggering. Specifically with Dana Oakes' response to the video series.

@jopo899 You can try mepilex, unlike duoderm it’s breathable. We use it under BiPAP/CPAP masks. Should pass the mask fit as we don’t have air leak issues with the NIV masks.
"We're asking each participant to share the link to recruit at least 5 others,” said co-lead Gregory Marcus. “We want to demonstrate that the number of people signing up for this scientific study and contributing data can increase exponentially, faster than the disease itself.”
Our researchers hope to enroll more than 1 million #citizenscience volunteers from around the world. Learn more about the study at this link. #covid19#coronavirus https://t.co/tbK9p3WkaW
