I just signed - will you join me? I urge you to send in a submission before June 1st. It does not make sense for schools to be selling sickness to kids in school

As a doctor, I’m deeply concerned that Victoria’s children see roughly 25 junkfood & junk-drink billboards while commuting, playing and learning — each & EVERY day. As an uncle, this makes me angry. It’s time to ban junk ads on public transport, and around our schools. #foodfight
Today is #WorldObesityDay. With this year’s theme #EverybodyNeedstoAct, the Cancer Society urges the Government to urgently look at junk food marketing legislation in Aotearoa New Zealand. Find out more: https://t.co/WO7IMLpY7D
David (Rawiri) Ratu "These figures show hazardous drinking continues to be experienced more by Maori than non-Maori. The government has so far failed to protect Maori from the over-supply of alcohol from the numerous outlets in poorer neighbourhoods”
Hon Andrew Little – Minister of Health: Help combat NZ's obesity epidemic with a levy on excessive sugar/fat products - Sign the Petition! https://t.co/AlZUvn5LjS via @Change
"I grew up surrounded by takeaways and liquor stores. When the dairy is selling fruit for $1.50 per fruit, but pies are $1 each, and I only have $3 for lunch... guess what I'm gonna buy?" he wrote. https://t.co/5zMv9eqhFd
Day 2 of #ActOnNCDs week. With obesity rates in NZ children the 2nd highest, only behind America... We call for urgent action on sugary drinks via taxation. These products contribute to obesity/poor oral health & we need action now for our whānau & mokopuna! #NCDs @NZDentalAssoc
What are our politicians willing to commit to reduce the enormous health toll from tobacco, alcohol and unhealthy food?

Thanks for your leadership @JulieAnneGenter. There is no point selling sickness to kids in the form of sugary drinks - the #1 source of sugar for youth in NZ. Our kids are the 2nd most obese in the OECD, a national shame.
Just in case anyone is confused about the National Party’s flat out lies about Green’s health policies: “water-only” is shorthand for getting sugary fizzy drinks out of schools, etc. It allows for unsweetened milk, and coffee for the adults. 🙄🤷🏻♀️ #nzpol https://t.co/mydYQGCavz
