Remember that time Satoru Iwata took a pay cut not once but TWICE to prevent layoffs at Nintendo?
This should be the standard for game studio leadership.
@VaughnVernon This is so true and over the last 4 years I've run into this numerous times. I've given customers advice based on my experience only to have it ignored because it wasn't what they wanted to hear.
Reality check. I was recently reminded of the truth in this proverb:
"Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats." -- Howard Aiken
It requires incredible energy to successfully move good ideas forward.
@madebygoogle I've replied via direct message. I have returned my defective item for Case ID 4-0922000033379. UPS shipping number shows that it was returned https://t.co/kbKDyooWsy
@madebygoogle once again you've threatened to charge me for a replacement item that you received in time. Please resolve my open case Case ID 4-0922000033379 and stop charging me for things I've already returned
@MateuszNaKodach@adymitruk @oskar_at_net @VaughnVernon UML is mainly for programmers. Event modelling communicates your design to the entire business. Unlike UML, an event model can be readily understood by anyone familiar with the modelled domain,
The lack of foresight is why integration tests are a nightmare for most. They should be no more difficult than unit tests. Take the time to design the state views needed to show an end to end process; then test those using unit tests. Don't make it a mock-object infested mess.
Want to learn the Software Development Life Cycle from A-Z using #eventdriven approaches? Then you have 1 week left to sign up to learn @EventModeling and #eventsourcing at the @adaptechgroup 2 day workshop with the actual devs!
