@abhagsain@posthog Hey @abhagsain - could you email me (first name at posthog dot com) and I'll check if there's anything specific to your setup that's causing this slowness.
w.r.t. to the people search, I'm working on this right now, this should get a lot faster in the next couple of weeks
@heysandy801 How was your posthog client set up? Sounds like you were using "memory" persistence, was this to avoid cookies? We have a newer cookieless mode which should avoid this problem. See https://t.co/tcIgEM4NkB
@euboid@metsikpalk Hey @euboid - you can define channels in PostHog. Here's a docs link https://t.co/sVcWlDaAbr
Can you tell me more about what's been unreliable with initial/current urls and utms?
You can now setup custom channels for web analytics, courtesy of @RobbieMaybe.
Custom channels enable you to define your own channels, so they show up as you wish in queries. This is useful if you have external channels, such as partners, that regularly send you traffic that you want to track at a glance.
To do so, simply create a custom channel for each partner in your web analytics settings and then sit back, watch them compete on your leaderboard!
They're also useful for grouping together similar referrers that aren't pre-configured, or internal referrals from sub-domains.
Because PostHog is an all-in-one tool, your custom channels are also available in product analytics insights using the `Channel type` session property. π
Go to your web analytics settings to set up custom channels: https://t.co/2xOfi3ZOMx
You can stop complaining about GA4 and start using PostHog now because our web analytics product is out of beta. π
Web analytics makes it easy to analyze things like:
- Unique users
- Pageviews
- Session duration
- Bounce rate
- Most popular pages
- Outbound clicks
- Referring domains and UTMs
- Device type and OS
It's bundled with product analytics, so you get 1 million events free every month. You can also save money by sending anonymous events on your website.
Also coming soon... incredibly easy conversion tracking from the web analytics dashboard. Seriously, it's insanely easy. π¦
@alexdanilo99 @posthog Hey @alexdanilo99 - I work at posthog, I can help you out with this. What's the website? Are you running a recent posthog-js version? Can you update it if not?
@usedigest@colinlee42 will work out of the box if you're using cookies and it's just a different subdomain, which it sounds like is the case for you. For more complex setups we have docs here https://t.co/UDsnkGfRtq
@usedigest@colinlee42 hey @usedigest I'm the eng working on posthog's web analytics, have you tried using it on your marketing site? we recently (ish) updated our pricing to make tracking both website + product much better https://t.co/11Q6ysYyQB
@michaelcurzi Companies do have control over one lever though, which is how much profit they make, how many stock buybacks they do, etc.
Which the general public have some control over in terms of brand perception being important (at least for a consumer facing business).
has anyone *not* been hearing superintendent chalmers in their head on repeat for the last 24 hours as people have been talking about the aurora borealis?
@Pilestedt I get that non-PSN countries are an easier case to make, but please look out for the rest of us too. Nobody *wants* PSN accounts to be mandatory

@PSultimate340@Pilestedt the difference between sony and other publishers is that
1: sony make you upload your government id https://t.co/ACqFsySA1a
2: it's mandatory, whereas most other publishers make it optional in exchange for a cool hat or pet duck or w/e
3. sony have a track record of data breaches
