Inside the capture of the BBC, by Rob Burley (@RobBurl)
In his 13 years as a senior BBC editor, Rob Burley saw the Corporation’s defining commitment to impartiality undermined by transgender ideology, a blind commitment to Diversity & Inclusion schemes, and a culture of intolerance.
Informed by his experiences at Newsnight alongside other prestige shows, his major investigation reveals how the BBC took a side in the culture wars.
He draws on extensive interviews with current and former staff — including journalists at the very top.
Speaking out for the first time since leaving the Corporation, Fran Unsworth, the former director of BBC News, reveals in an explosive interview: “I would actually say it drove me out, just dealing with the progressive editorial issues and the bullying around them all. It was incredibly difficult.”

I’m nothing special, but I like to think my experience and a few technical and creative skills came in handy from time to time. But these are tough times. The BBC is full of talented people who believe in it, despite the wearying onslaught of cuts and criticism. I wish them luck.
"There's obviously something that's happened that they don't want coming out.”
The daughter of Sir David Amess, Katie Amess, says she won't give up fighting for a public inquiry into the murder of her father.

STOP THE PRESS! MEDIA IS BIASED... OR IS IT?
What is driving the collapse in trust in mainstream media, and what are its consequences? Are critics right that biased or partisan journalism requires greater regulation? Can any form of external regulation genuinely restore trust, or should media organisations and platforms remain free to set their own agendas?

@RobBurl The commentators were puzzling, too. Things like, "No matter the off-field stuff, that's gorgeous football!" But that's the POINT. The gorgeous football is the RESULT of exactly what they're accused of.
There’s no “process” to be waiting for
If you are found guilty of murder, you go immediately to prison, where your legal team may initiate an appeal process
You don’t get to hang out in your yacht until the 37years of appealing as run its course
The Manchester City fans on here remind me of the MAGA brigade insisting that the 2020 election was a fraud. We have “over-whelming evidence” “the mainstream media are in the pockets of the Red Cartel”
There’s something utterly grotesque about this. The Man City fans and players celebrating the badge. Today’s success built on that £900m spent buying the Premier League. Aguerro-o-o? A sham.
Suggestion: given how long they dragged it out and given the way it makes everything feel pointless or potentially pointless why don’t the Premier League suspend city on the grounds of the very serious charges and if they win their appeal they can be reinstated.
@RobBurl There's a lot of players tapping that City badge who will gladly leave in a few months (or as early as January) when they get relegated and/or the club says they can't pay them.

You know what, I am bitter about your club - who can literally do no wrong for you - defiling the Premier League. All the times I’ve said to my son that sometimes you lose but it’s fair were lies. But yeah keep on revelling, pretending it’s funny.
