@BidenFinal @DazAU78 @JaneCaro@FrizzellH@jmhorp@kcarruthers The recession is global as the virus & lockdowns are. Pro-lockdown argue: swift hard pain over dragging it out. Anti-lockdown argue: can’t stop it, let it do what it will and move on. So, 🤷♂️ worst of both till vaccine?
@GeorgeOu@MLiben@MaxCRoser Andorra’s stats are uninteresting to compare. It’s maybe more interesting to compare US next to top 20 countries by population.
@GeorgeOu@MLiben@MaxCRoser It would be nice to see more reports that aggregate Europe or break-down US states, but it’s always country-level since that’s how the data flows.
@kvlly@chiuki Been there.
A guilty pleasure when working for a big-tech co: large searchable forums/wikis/code. Someone’s *are* out there, but couldn’t/embarrassed/didn’t share it publicly. If it’s pubic software please share it (even if it’s under an alias)
@dscape I’d guess that home-servicing businesses prefer to buy over build till somewhere in the thousands of employees. Looks like there are handful of Landscaping companies at that scale.
@dscape I think to answer my question, then we should only consider business that directly give requirements to SEs vs purchase/integrate software that is sold to them.
@dscape At some point an economy is all circular… employees eat food from farmers. So, for your game, you might consider the marketing & fin tech co’s as external suppliers.
@gconnery@ASlavitt President picks, congress has opportunity to reject for some qualification reason. In practice, the president picks who they want, but they have to be well qualified
@kbakst it’s hard to appreciate it yet, but in retrospect is it not so ironic that the national suspense of who won is being held centered around 1 NV predict.
@Shereste@aschrock The whole thing is Gerry-mandering. Imagine US map w/o state lines. Now draw in the large cities. Now the game, draw state lines to maximize control of the senate. Tip: The other team’s voters foolishly group themselves in cities.
We've been looking at the moon for hundreds of thousands of years. 5 decades since we've been there ourselves. All this time. We decided. There's no water on the moon.
This week we found water on the moon.
Don't shy away from problems others think they've already solved.
@metrolosangeles I used NH station twice a day every day for 4 years. Fun to see it again.
Hydration stations is great for all peoples and it’s great to be looking out. Though I’m concerned about operating one sanitarily in 20-awful-20. Any thoughts on that?
