Stories like Lord of the Rings show that good is rewarded and evil punished, bravery is worth it, sacrifice is noble, and discomfort is not only tolerable but actually inherent in successful growth.

The heros’ journeys throughout the LOTR series, for example, are ones we can all take inspiration from, and not as a fictional story we quickly forget about.

What if we treated epics like these as historical accounts of how the best, most virtuous humans in history treated life?

What if the creatures, beings, and energies were partially remembered by some writers because we’re precisely in a time in history when we need to remember them the most?
