Despite all the rain we’ve had recently, the 1st XV pitch is looking good as we approach our Rugby 7s week.

Aerated across play with solid tines down to 5 inches on Thursday & then a cylinder cut, the lines cut out & then an over-mark today.

100+ training sessions & 25 matches in a 10 week period. Now 2 days out from match number 26 after a quiet period.

Happy with the colour & coverage after a busy season but it’s almost time to rip it up & start the preparations for next season!!

Last week was weird. Sometimes overcast, sometimes snowing a blizzard, sometimes clear blue skies. Always cold though!

2 out of 3 rugby 7s tournaments played & completed.

In January we aerated three times with the slitter & marked once.

The results after the first hand cut & second over-mark aren’t too bad.
