Trump: "A killer". Author of Washington Secrets at the Washington Examiner. Formerly Telegraph, Daily Mail, Pakistan, Afghanistan, old Africa hand. Khunian
Kids these days can find out about any player or see any score/result in seconds, it’s brilliant.
BUT back in the 90s when we saw far, far less overseas football, one of the best things about World Cups was discovering players you’d never heard of during the tournament - so many examples of that in 1990 (my fave WC) - remember doing the Roger Milla corner flag celebration in a Sunday morning game :)
Jill Biden says Joe and Kamala still talk: "I mean, she called Joe the other day. I mean, they're still friends, you know? They talk, she calls him or he calls her. It's not like you have to understand Joe is a man. man, I mean, he doesn't.. he doesn't like hold grudges."

White House spox Davis Ingle tells me POTUS will be back in front of the cameras tomorrow after seven days of 'closed press' events
“President Trump just participated in a 45-minute wide-ranging interview yesterday, and he will be holding open press events tomorrow and Friday. Anyone using the President’s schedule to push left-wing conspiracies is a grade-A moron.”
Brilliant analysis of where Iran stands today. A new (post-revolutionary) generation is in power and has shifted from "dogma toward pragmatic statecraft" - which shouldn't be seen as any sort of softening. By @vali_nasr and Narges Bajoghli in Foreign Policy 1/2
"The republic born of the U.S.-Israeli wars is defined less by ideology than by nationalism, less by revolution than by statecraft, less by clerical charisma than by the confidence and technocratic ethos of a new officer class."

NOW: A federal judge has blocked NOTUS from launching The Star website tomorrow.
The judge partially granted a temporary restraining order in a trademark lawsuit brought by The Washington Star against NOTUS/The Star. But NOTUS does not have to remove any existing mentions of The Star from its website.
Story to come @CityCast_DC
A 250th that even one half of Milli Vanilli can't be bothered to turn up to. New poll suggests Americans think the Founding Fathers' legacy has been squandered. So maybe this is the party that the nation deserves - Washington Secrets https://t.co/Ei6ZLqlZmO
Dr Oz with a very odd answer about why Trump keeps getting checkups: "I think he likes the results. He does really well. He aces the test every single day"
Had given up on getting to World Cup games. But just snagged England v Ghana tickets for not unreasonable money (well, it's all relative I guess).
Watching Dear England during recent trip home has me all amped up.
SCOOP: The Pentagon has banned journalists from its press office, designating it a classified space. The change creates a new barrier between journalists and the public affairs officers who have traditionally answered their questions.

Can anyone recommend a Keurig pod that doesn't produce coffee that tastes like the ashes of a billion wasted dreams mixed with a garbage can from Starbucks?
