@moynihan That’s a kentia palm, had it for a few years now. They’re relatively inexpensive compared to other larger plants (at least it was when we bought it).
User feedback hits differently than client feedback.
A project I helped on went live yesterday, here’s a comment from one of the users:
“Whoever the dev is for the web needs a pat on the back, that looks so f*cking nice”
We were a small team, but everyone made it happen 😊
Wild to think how many variations of the same thing I’ve built over the years...
I’m building a nav today... fortunately, I’ve not had to build a mega-nav in a good number of years (and today doesn’t break that streek either) 🤣
@patrickdoesweb Haha, I’ve know that feeling 🤣 depends on what kind of books you’re into.
Productivity books > Hyperfocus & Deep work
Finance > I will teach you to be rich
Psychology > Influence
These are some books I listened to a couple of years ago that I plan to revisit again this year.
Over a year after doing a project for a client, they’ve come back asking for some updates (paid).
Guess it pays to do a good job the first time around.
@davidfoxio I think I managed about a year of being solidly booked before I started to slow down a bit.
But you’ll have different challenges working part-time.
I think at some point I started to introduce “easier” weeks between projects to try and recharge a bit.
@georgedoescode@sara_brunettini Thanks 😊
I designed and built it how I wish other recipes sites would be – putting the focus on the recipe instead of loading it with ads and other content I don’t care about 🤣
Mobile has a cooking mode (WIP) which I’ll bring to desktop sometime soon too.
