One of my dearest friends, Lyle Foxman—a dedicated NYC public school STEAM/technology teacher, amazing father to a young son, loving husband, talented artist, and all-around inspiring guy—is in the final stages of his courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

What started as indigestion turned into a devastating fight of esophageal cancer. He beat the initial cancer and even a brain metastasis, but now at 51, it’s spread aggressively to his spine, liver, lymph nodes, and more. Treatments have stopped; he’s on palliative care, preparing for hospice, and even planning his own funeral to ease the burden on his family.

Lyle has spent his life sacrificing for others—pouring his passion into educating kids who need it most, creating art, and being a pillar for everyone around him. He has so much more he wants to live for, but time is heartbreakingly short.

This holiday season, his wife Amy and their son are facing unimaginable grief alongside mounting medical bills and expenses. I’ve never asked for this before, but please—if you can, donate anything to help bring some comfort in his final days and support for his family. No amount is too small.
