@GWRHelp Two cancelled trains getting from Bristol Temple Meads to Portsmouth. Driver disappeared at Westbury. No water in the heat. My original train was cancelled. No idea how late I actually am anymore. Four hours to get from temple meads to Southampton. Still far to go. Shambles.
@CasaAmarilla@MigracionCol It’s horrible. Flying from Bogota to Heathrow yesterday I had to do it as part of my check in but nobody mentioned it or asked if I’d done it which, in itself, was annoying.
In 1663, the partial fossilised skeleton of a woolly rhinoceros was discovered in Germany. This is the “Magdeburg Unicorn”, one of the worst fossil reconstructions in human history.
@emmeejacobs@catslaveto4 Most halls at the University of Bristol are owned and operated by the University. A smaller number are run by private companies.
@andsowewonder @SaskiaHeijltjes Not denying your point but good public transport and cycling infrastructure provides independence for a significant number of people with specific needs too.
@jacksonj04 @girlonabrompton I bought MiRider One about a month ago. So far it’s been fantastic but it’s early days. They have very good reviews and folds up and fits in my cupboard under the stairs. Fairly affordable too.
@WeirdBristol I agree but I think shop signage is an exception. The majority of shop owners do not create their own signs but pay a company to do it. If your job is to create signs and use English to communicate a message you should know how language works.
@alexandrakuri I also enjoy when Jeremy Paxman looks absolutely disgusted with an Oxford student because they know the answer to a pop culture question.
