@Fat_Electrician@ClaireFosterPHD I almost think that this account is some kind of fake, rage bait, engagement farming account because the statement she makes is wild for someone who claims to have an IQ of 169 in her bio. Knock the 1 off that IQ number and her statement makes a lot more sense.
@spann Honestly, I really appreciate the fact that you don’t get political. It’s refreshing. I don’t know what your political leanings are, and I don’t care to know. You do a great job with the weather and trying to keep us, here in Alabama, as safe as you can.
@Rep_Clyde@RepDaleStrong I’d like to see you support this amendment to the OBBB. Just simply removing the tax isn’t enough to help protect our 2A rights. Dems could easily reintroduce the tax and make it whatever they want the next time they control the House and Senate.
@MAC_Arms Yes and I am likely just to sit out the next couple of elections because of my disappointment with the Republicans. I am just 1 vote, but I see a lot of people echoing that same idea or similar.
I think he also needs to consider the likelihood that the Supreme Court would even take up that case because they might view it as too much of a controversial topic. They might just decline to take the case even if a lower court rules in favor of keeping the registration. This, now, is our absolute best chance to remove the Tax and most importantly, the registration.
Not the result any of us want. In fact, it has me very frustrated with Republicans in the Senate and their leadership for allowing this to happen. Why should I want to vote for them anymore when all they do is compromise on our rights when they have the power to overrule the Parliamentarian. The only positive I could see coming from this is since the tax and the registration are tied together, the registration component gets thrown out in court, but we would have to wait years for that.
