@glcarlstrom hes using syria to threaten israel. the mou and his entire mideast diplomacy is predicated on his ability to control them and theyre not playing along
@ScriptsByJames indy, tor, philly, ny, bos, det, clev will finish ahead of them. theyre fighting for the 8 seed w/wash. im still on the waiting list for season tix tho
@NicoleHajal@karimbitar this legal expert concurs w your legal experts. since the agreement has no enforcement mechanisms its not binding, it can exited by any party anytime. also: israel is 40 times richer than lebanon, so its economic damages post 10/8/23 far exceed lebanons claims against israel
@NTarnopolsky he was aware. when he announced his proposal here's what i replied to his tweet:
"have u checked w/the azeris? are they down? ur track record of thinking things thru is uninspiring. everything is going well in the caucuses. maybe sit this one out"
@BarnsandLakes@AdventuresOTM the term for this is vacancy control. i convinced the 9th cir vc on commercial property in hawaii was a taking in a 3-0 decision. scotus overturned the cir 9-0 and reinstated vc. (Lingle v. Chevron, 544 U.S. 528 (2005). so yes, theyre all in on vacancy control
@amoshochstein@JavierBlas since june 2025 brent closed <$60 only six times, all during seasonally weak xmas period. ur confusing brent and wti amos.
@NikoleCallihan i was an solo appellate attorney. charged 50k to rite a 50 page brief, took me 3mos working w/e. firms work u more but pay much better. requires three yrs of law school+high-end research, editing, prose and persuasive writing skills. best majors for lawyers are econ+english
@AdventuresOTM i lost that case in the 9th cir in 2007. one of the few takings claim i won in the 9th cir was overturned by scotus in 2006. the courts are not going to rid us of rent control
@HannoLustig repression is yet another incentive for dc to let inflation rip ever higher. when the fed "sudden exits" the punch bowl away the bond market will crash, the economy will "disrupt" and well have to bail out the treasury. sounds great
