Had an amazing time at the UWG Alpha Wolf Camp! Ran a 4.65 40, 4.56 pro shuttle, 75” arm, and 9’4” broad jump. Blessed to compete and learn from @Coach_Englehart , @TyreeThompson05 and the staff. Hope to be back soon! @UWGFootball
This morning, at our first full team meeting of the 2026 season, we reviewed our DAWG Program—what it is, why it was implemented, and how to earn DAWG status. In addition, the coaching staff recognized our March DAWGs of the Month—athletes who consistently demonstrate and fully embody Discipline, Grit, and the three DAWG Pillars of Success: Conduct, Commitment, and Drive. This standard is designed not only to develop better football players, but to shape stronger teammates, responsible students, leaders in the community, and ultimately prepare them for life beyond the game.
Each DAWG will wear their DAWG shirt every Monday to help set the tone for the week and serve as a model for teammates striving to earn DAWG status. Our goal is simple: to have as many players as possible achieve DAWG status before the start of fall camp.
The following players were recognized: Campbell Sheherd, Luke Johnson, Reece Kenning, Tucker Van Ryan, Robert Gilvarry, and Jack Kowalski.
These athletes, along with those who have already earned DAWG status, set the standard through their discipline, commitment, and grit. Their daily actions, especially in the unseen hours, reflect what it truly means to be a DAWG. As the saying goes, “Iron sharpens iron”—disciplined, hard-working players make their teammates better, and in turn, elevate themselves as well. Keep pushing, stay consistent, and continue raising the bar for yourselves and your teammates.
DAWGs don’t just meet the standard—they establish it and uphold it.
