@BeeTee2887 What amazes me about the “deadlifts hurt your back” people is that a huge portion of them advocate SLDLs and/or RDLs, which work the back harder by removing/reducing leg drive in the movement and putting the lifter into a more bent over position.
@Devsthetix Effect is very real, and very well studied. Not sure I’d say “gamechanger”. It’s not cocaine. Most people can’t feel the difference being on it.
@zaelefty It’s basically a soul. If one wants to believe in a soul, that is fine, but it is not something that should be treated as science or imposed on others.
People who are dedicated to lifting add serious amounts of fat to their bodies in bulks, and then lose that fat as they preserve as much of the gained muscle as they can. I’m willing to take a little “bloating”.
I feel like this is an attitude driven by short term thinking and vanity.
I want to be stronger. I want to be more capable, to lift more, to add contractile tissue, and be healthier. It would be nice to look better.
@NikkiFromQueens@MaxNordau I’m old enough to remember when they avoided food with kosher certification because they were convinced it was a secret tax to fund Israel.
There’s fitness coaches who will tell you to avoid deadlifts because of potentional back injuries
To take it easy and just do 45° Back Extensions
But if there’s one thing from my Strongman Days I learned is that Weak Things Break
Train Smart. Train Hard.
@Hybridathlete Likewise, doctors are reticent to prescribe GLP-1 meds to type 1s because the medications “aren’t meant for type 1 diabetes” and they’ve heard of all the trouble they’ve been causing people.
Brother, have you tried a smaller dose?
@Hybridathlete I’m type 1 diabetic and I’ve seen a lot of this from other type 1s. People start on type 2 doses and are then surprised that their much smaller, much less insulin resistant bodies start to experience side effects.
@BowTiedYukon If you look at some of the things he did for legs, he stops at a point where he probably can’t do another rep, but hasn’t yet reached a point where the working muscles are unable to momentarily produce the necessary for to move concentrically.
@1111Bido Apart from hundreds of years of Islamic savagery against Jews and other minorities, I prefer a country that would move heaven and earth to bring its people back over a country that gladly sacrifices its own to kill the other’s.
Why would the Israeli government DNA test its entire population? I live in Britain and our government has never done that. They have things like roads to maintain.
@Christi33866740@lilbuddymax@MoVagabond Do you hear me?
None of these tests are real
That is why a nation wide one would be more factual, but israeli government refusing to do it. Thus, israel proved that they would lose to such tests. 🤷🏻♀️
I’ve seen a lot of weird ideas on this app, but I never expected to see Cinderella DNA test to solve Israel-Palestine with an eliminationist one state solution.
@1111Bido Both Palestinians and Israelis have made it very clear that they’re not going to leave, and while I’m pretty firmly on the Israeli side, I don’t think they ought to be made to leave either.
