OK everyone I joined @goodreads but I could really do with some friends over there! If anyone would like to add me I'd be grateful. https://t.co/0sr0ZdOtHq
Can you help me identify this book? It begins with a cat burglar breaking into the flat of a government minister in London on New Year's Eve. He uses the cover of the fireworks to blast into the safe, looking for jewels. However, he accidentally takes away some secret papers.
Does anyone else struggle for motivation when it comes to writing the last chapter of a book? I'm there and it's going soooo slooowly, and I think it's some sort of fear of it ending. Not sure how to tackle it, this is a recurrent problem.
Just reached 100,000 words on my WIP which I think is honestly a bit too long. I've lived with these characters for so long and I can't let them go, so I keep on giving them more problems to deal with! Can anybody relate?

In February I decided I'd write fiction every single day. I've stuck to it religiously, with the exception of when I was backpacking without my computer! It's improved my sense of wellbeing immensely - no day is wasted when you've created something. Who's the same?
Seven weeks later and I've just hit 90,000! Wasn't really expecting it to be this long. Definitely in the final act now though. I'll be bereft without it once it's done.
How much does everyone write per day? Since I started writing daily I average a little over 800 words, which on the one hand seems OK given that I work full time, but on the other hand sometimes feels lazy!
