@UConnFanDotCom @CamLemons_ Buddy just say you’re lazy and don’t do research. Elite men’s soccer, tennis, baseball has been a consistent top 10-15 program, football coming off a 9 win season. Hoops was elite for years before a horrific administration handling of the hoops program set it back.

@Its_Coach_Steve The only guy you can point to on that list leaving early is Laravia, and he was a first round pick. Point is the staff has had more than capable rosters to easily dance and it’s been a failure no matter the NIL situation. Forbes is a great dude, but it is stale with this staff.

But I think because of Forbes having higher expectations, along with more resources from Mitt Shah, you have to hold a higher standard here. But that’s just me.

There’s no debate compared to Bzdelic and Manning who were bottom 3 coaches in ACC history. But if we’re playing that game, even Manning lucked into a Dayton appearance in 2017.

@JoshGrahamShow @DeacsAtDiolis So the standard at Wake should be keep NIT level coaches around? That historically was not the standard. Making the NCAA Tournament should be the bare minimum. Forbes should be credited for building the program back to average after it was destroyed but come on. It’s year 6 now.

@EMAWCaleb Look dude, I feel for y’all. Truly. Tang was an atrocious coach. Wake dealt with two Tangs back to back in a 10 year span without the miracle Elite 8 run. But blowing money because you can’t identify/manage/coach basketball talent isn’t “fire for cause”. Gotta pay and move on.

@staccato_xl9 This is the correct take. Forbes should be highly respected for resurrecting a destroyed program to a solid floor, and navigating it during crazy changes in college basketball. Will always like Steve Forbes. It’s just time to move on basketball wise and try something different.
