You know when people buy things in supermarkets and then they change their mind, and they put the thing back on a shelf in the wrong section, so now the thing is left in the wrong place... I buy those things.
I bought some doughnuts earlier on that basis. They were amazing.
@jenkin7NICK The good thing about MySpace (in its original incarnation at least) was that it let people use HTML in the page boxes, so you could either have normal text, or you could format things in the style of a website.
I think a lot of people had their first go at writing HTML that way.
@colwyn0077668 Yie Ar Kung Fu was a game with real lasting appeal. I really can't imagine just how many hours I put into that. It had a really great learning curve, where you could play it for weeks or months and still keep getting at least slightly better. ❤️
I still remember my ZX Spectrum so well. Even the smell of the rubber keys. I was nine years old. 41 years ago.
Exploring the mansion in Jet Willy II just felt so amazing.
It didn't matter how bad school was going, or whatever family problems there were; that was pure 100% fun.
@TheFluffster1 Ah, my friend had one of those. We used to play Ikari Warriors on it as two player. I can't quite remember whether it was actually a two player game, or whether one of us did the direction inputs and the other did the firing. :-)
@LFC_1970 Harrier Attack was the first game I ever saw being played on a spectrum, even before I owned one.
And then eventually of course I had it and played it, and definitely has to be up there in my top 10. ❤️
@RDKLInc It's certainly very beautiful. My guess is that it's something from a late 90s arcade cabinet (something really top end and amazing for the time) but that could be completely wrong.
Preparing to leave a beautiful city abroad which has come to feel more like home than any in my own country.
My old mum is ill and I'm needed at home, so I have to take the flight.
Huge thanks to the retro community here on X for all the joyful content through testing times. ❤️
@cr0bar I don't own one of those, but I have two of the original Game Boy Pockets, which are just awesome. Nice form factor, and they don't suffer from the screen tear of the original Game Boy.
