Munster Bovine has become the latest organisation to join Agri Aware as a patron.
Based in Mallow, Co. Cork, Munster Bovine is renowned for its artificial insemination and herd management services. It has been in business since the 1940s providing Irish farmers with genetics that continues to improve herd performance across both the beef and dairy sectors.
Munster Bovine joins over 55 patrons of Agri Aware, further strengthening the agri-food educational body’s mission to enhance agricultural literacy among the general public.
The standout for me from the Mercosur deal is that after years of green fanaticism which has included Irish politicians making the case for the need to cull our national herd for the climate, the EU agrees to a trade deal to import sub-standard beef thousands of miles. Laughable.
Tomorrow week, Agri Aware's inaugural Food for Thought Industry Briefing event is set to take place.
Key topics dominating the media in recent weeks and months such as the Mercosur Trade Deal and the Nitrates Derogation will form part of the main agenda of the event.
This event comes at a pivotal time of change across the Irish agricultural sector.

@kieran_sullivan@NoelLynch10 Not sure on delivery time for one of these but it’s certainly a cheaper alternative than buying one for €1000, might be worth a look

A morning well spent with 4th class from @ButlerstownNS talking about cows, grass, soil, trees, owls, lifestyle, technology and everything in between! Loads of great questions and although nearly all not from farms, the enthusiasm for all things farming was infectious😁
Agri Aware was thrilled to present a special memento to Stephen Byrne and his wife Áine in recognition of their hard work and dedication in hosting Open Farm 2024.
Stephen and his family from Monasterevin, graciously welcomed over 2,550 visitors to his farm, along with allowing school tours for 450 primary school students.
Their commitment and effort have made this year’s Open Farm a fantastic success. On behalf of all of us at Agri Aware, thanks to Stephen, Áine and family.
